Anti-Bullying Week 2022

Anti-Bullying Week in England and Wales is organised by the Anti-Bullying Alliance and takes place from 14th to 18th November 2022. Friendship Friday takes place on the Friday 18th of Anti-Bullying Week and is an opportunity to celebrate friendship and explore and promote positive relationships.

Bullying affects many people so it is vital for schools and educational settings to have regular PSHE lessons and opportunities to discuss relationships and promote awareness of bullying. In the Early Years & Key Stage 1 l, puppets, role play and in particular books are fantastic hooks for teaching important messages and key values.

Naughty Noah (and of course we should never say ‘naughty’) makes a plethora of bad choices which act as excellent discussion points for PSHE and Inference based reading comprehension:-

What should Noah have done differently there? Is Noah a bully? How do you think that made her/him feel? What would you do next if you were in that situation? Do you think it’s fair?

Why not give Naughty Noah at Nursery a read with your children or class next week during Anti-Bullying Week?
